Biblioteca Massagran
The students of the Can Cladellas school, the Folch i Torres school and the Ramon Casas Institute propose the name of the future library: Massagran Library.
Why?
Josep María Folch i Torres lived in our town and created the character Massagran. His son Folch i Camarassa made his comics. This hero is a well-known character and we believe that he is very representative of Palau-solità i Plegamans. For this reason we want the library to be called Massagran.
This character has a special and historical link with Palau-solità i Plegamans. Massagran is a fictional character created by Josep María Folch i Torres who stars in songs, books and plays. He is a lanky, willing hero who cleverly solves problems by modeling positive behavior. Josep María Folch i Torres was a very relevant 20th century writer for our people, since he was the creator of the Catalan theater for infants, and he spent the summer in Palau where he was inspired for his works. Due to its current presence in the town, the Folch i Torres house continues to open its doors and also its foundation.
